Fighting for accountability, justice reform, and ending wrongful convictions

In this year of upheaval, from a global pandemic to widespread protests against police brutality, the pursuit of justice and equality has never been more urgent. Inspired by the perseverance of our clients, many of whom fought against the odds for decades, the Innocence Project pushed forward in 2020.

This year, 11 wrongfully convicted people were freed or exonerated.
